Programs

Our programs are based upon each child’s developmental needs.

Developmental Infant Care for ages 6 weeks – 17 months

The infant program focuses on giving lots of love and cuddles to our youngest students. Evaluating each child to ensure milestones are being met and encouraging each child to their fullest potential. We communicate with parents through the day with updates and pictures via our Brightwheel app so they know their child is well cared for when they are away.

Toddler School for ages 18 months – 35 months

This class focuses on socializing and learning new skills. Toddlers are such a fun age and are learning at lightning speed. We use free and structured play activities to teach fine and gross motor skills, communication, reasoning and respecting each other’s boundaries.

Beginner’s Preschool for ages 3-4 years

This class is for the children that may need a little more guidance and assistance reaching milestones to get them ready for Preschool. We still maintain small classes so the children get lots of 1:1 attention for their specific needs as well as answering the many questions they have every day. This will enable them to catapult into their academic lives and start with the best possible advantages. Learning the basic academic skills, self-care, and possibly most importantly, appropriate social skills and emotional regulation.

Preschool for ages 4-5 years

Preschool/Pre-K readiness is a continuation of our 3-4 year old Beginner’s Preschool Program. When children start preschool it is the beginning of “Kindergarten Training”. Our goal is to have every child ready, to the best of their ability, to start Kindergarten both academically and socially. Current students and our Preschool Promise students have first chance at enrollment into the Preschool program, however if there are vacancies available we will accept applications for Pre-K and extended care.

Pre-K/Kinder for ages 4-6 years

We are very excited to offer our Pre-K/Kinder program beginning FALL 2021! With so many unanswered questions about the school systems and delivery of our children’s education, we wanted to give parents an option they can be confident in. Nonnie’s Village will continue to have smaller than district classes with certified teachers that are able to adjust and adapt their curriculum to meet the needs of the individual student. While we will still have the support of the county for any special needs a student may have (IEP/IFSP) we are confident that every child will thrive at our Village. Current students and our Preschool Promise students have first chance at enrollment into the Pre-K program, however if there are vacancies available we will accept applications for Pre-K and extended care.

Our philosophy is that if a child comes to Nonnie’s Village as an infant, their growth and development will be seamless through the years, until they are ready for 1st grade.

Our programs are based on Creative Curriculum Strategies. Research shows that a whole-child approach to education, one where children have opportunities to develop not only math and literacy skills but also social–emotional, physical, and cognitive skills, is developmentally appropriate and better prepares children for life well beyond their time in a classroom.

All of our teachers integrate outdoor learning & STEM-based activities into our curriculum.
